Wacky Race
On the last day of March, the city of Jászberény was very busy, as more than 200 enthusiastic young people took to the streets. Within the framework of the City of My Dreams project, the Wacky Race treasure hunt game was organized by the Jászberény Youth Government. High school teams of 2-4 people could enter the game, and they could test their keen eye and creativity. They had to choose the one closest to them from among four topics and the competition started on that basis. The children were given a task at various notable locations in the city, the solution to which was the password to the next location. Those who went through all the stations, at the end of the day, were enriched with valuable prizes – and a lot of experiences. The program ended with an audience meeting, where the participants talked to the four actors of the Csávók show. Of course, the members of the Jászság 4th group could not be left out of this great program either, who crossed the city with their 4 main teams and solved the tasks with great team play. A lot of teams signed up for the Wacky Race event, so we were able to make new friends. During the competition, we had to complete various tasks to get to the next location. It was important to be able to work together, which was not a problem for our team, so we finished in a few hours. Everyone had topics and had to perform different tasks related to the topic. Our topic was culture and art. We were able to visit Jászberény’s cultural places, such as the Jász Museum, where we had to write a poem – using six given words, but there were also places where we had to dance and were even given military face paint. My favorite place was the Mayor’s Office, where we had to take a selfie with Lóránt Budai – the mayor of Jászberény – and we even got to go into the meeting room. I had a lot of experiences during the day, I felt very good. Thank you for allowing me to participate in this great program. Sas Maja Anna Jászság group 4
