Flow – Science project at Pécs Community House
Everyday science brought such experiments for our students, which included materials from their daily lives. The main topic was around the DNA chain and its molecules. The program has started on the second weekend of February with a presentation about why science is so important in the modern world. Such events, catastrophes, disasters and illnesses were presented for us where scientific prevention would have helped. Moreover we have learnt about the structure of DNA chain and why we must explore it. Also we were looking for the connection between the apple, IT devices and the cure of cancer. After these the students visited five workshops where the experiments took place. The students from the 11th grade were the co-scientist who helped the others to perform the scientific tests along instructions and record the results. The bonus sixth workshop worked on the musical composition of the DNA chain all weekend, which they could perform as the final moment of the whole project. We would like to thank Eszter Dénes science teacher and the Foundation for this exciting weekend! Pécs groups
