Language exams, Kaposvár
My name is William L. Hamlin. I am from the United States , but I live here in Hungary with my family. Zsuzsanna Hamlin, one of the English teachers working for the Foundation is my wife.
This is how the Foundation found me and asked me to be an examiner at one of their exams. I teach
English as a native speaker at a couple of schools in Kaposvár and sometimes I am asked to assist with exams too, so I have some experience, also I could compare the knowledge of the Foundation students with other students.
As a native speaker of English, I can state that it is always a pleasure to be able to talk to people of other nations in my mother tongue and the Foundation students provided me this opportunity. My impression of them was very good, most of them can communicate at ease, with a wide range of vocabulary and good grammar. Their knowledge shows that in addition to their school classes they get something special at the Foundation. It was also a pleasant surprise how maturely some of them think about some of the current issues of our society. I would also like to add, that some of the students have a great sense of humour and I had a nice entertaining chat with them.
All in all I enjoyed being an examiner for the Foundation and I wish all the students to keep up the good work.
