Carneval fever
On 9th February we spet another good and interesting day in the Foundation.
We spent the whole day celebrating the Carnival. In the morning we played topic relevant games with Ms. Ani (our drama teacher). We all had a great time and we did not realized that Ms. Ildi our mentor and our enthusiastic and kindhearted volunteer Ms Kati prepared something special for us.
They decorated the rooms and presented an Asian atmosphere. We had real Carnival feeling! Ms Kati cooked Asian food for us in order to get know the culture. We raised the Carnival feeling with Asian costumes, hats and fans. Rudi and Szandi were the best! 🙂
Ms. Kati taught us how to eat with sticks, which was really funny at the beginning. The menu was relly delicious:
1. Welcome drink: ’küángcsüensué’, the traditional ’dituchuke bolee’
2. Main course: ’ci já jü’, with the famous sweet-savory sauce from Guandong, sopped into prawn sauce
3. Garnish: ’mífán’, white rice pats directly from rice-land
4. Dessert: Carnival donuts and lucky cakes with strinking thoughts
