Family Day in Mohács

Family Day in Mohács

On Saturday, the Mohács 3 group held its first family day. There was a buzz of activity in the Community House from the morning as the group’s mentor and older members eagerly prepared for our arrival. Throughout the morning, the house filled with laughter, the joyful chatter of children, smiling parents, and curious younger siblings. While Annamária coordinated the grilling, the older “Csányi” kids entertained interested participants with fun and humorous relay races.

With delicious aromas wafting from the kitchen, it was hard to focus on the competition tasks, but the participating families performed admirably. After the contests, everyone found something to engage in: teams of kids settled by the foosball table and bookshelves, and later, FIFA games emerged as a popular activity. While the children played, the parents had the opportunity to get to know each other better and bombarded Annamária with questions, to which she patiently responded throughout the day.

When it was time for lunch, the tired kids and parents rushed to the table, where they could choose from various grilled meats, sausages, vegetables, and several types of salads. They ensured delicious flavors, refreshing drinks, and maintained the good mood, as the meal didn’t interrupt the lively conversations. Some kids, wanting to burn off their lunch, went outside to play soccer, while others waited for an opening at the ping pong table to test their skills there.

Perhaps the smallest children were the most worn out by the end of the day, as they lay on the trampoline after lunch, sharing exciting stories with each other.

Thank you very much to the Mohács Community House and Annamária for organizing this wonderful, experience-filled day! We are already looking forward to the next one!
