Talent Selection Process 2023.
In 2023, the Csányi Foundation announced a call for applications for talented, socially underprivileged children who will finish the 4th grade of primary school in the school year 2022/23 to participate in the TGuidance Programme, within the framework of which 15 children from Jászság, 15 children from Mohács and its region, and 15 children from Pécs will be selected.
Pécs – 24 March
The Csányi Foundation held its last selection event of the year in Pécs, where the applicants had the opportunity to compete in the newly completed Community House. As on previous occasions, the children started with a maths and reading comprehension competency test, while the accompanying adults listened to a presentation by Ivett Majoros and Bianka Járay, who talked about their experiences at the Foundation and the structure of the programme. Dr. Miklós Radoszáv then spoke about the commitments that families make by joining the programme. As in the other community centres, there was no lack of dramapedagogy activities for both children and parents. The afternoon continued with a portfolio presentation of the children who had applied and who gave a high quality presentation.
Thank you very much to all the tutors, mentors, peer-mentors and volunteers who helped to make the selection process run smoothly. It was a special honour that Edward Papp, CEO of SMP Solutions Zrt., the Foundation’s curator, was present in Pécs after Mohács, and contributed to the success of the day with his presence and great questions.
Thank you!
Mohács – 17-18 March 2023.
This year’s recruitment has also started in Mohács. Fourteen children arrived with their parents and guardians on both days. The first test for the children was two competency tests in Hungarian and mathematics. During the test writing, parents and guardians could get a deeper insight into the daily life and operation of the Foundation: Maja Sik, a student of Mohács 2, gave a presentation on the first day, Blanka Ritzl on the second day, followed by a presentation of the Csányi Foundation by Dr. Miklós Radoszáv, the operational director, with a special emphasis on our operational procedures, which require the long-term committed cooperation of parents and guardians. The morning was closed with drama sessions, which were not missed by the adults, who also took part in a session designed for them. After lunch, a portfolio presentation of the children took place.
A special feature of the weekend was the presence of Edward Papp, one of the Foundation’s trustees and CEO of SMP Solutions Zrt. Thank you very much!
Thank you to all the great people of Mohács, peer-mentors, parent volunteers and Gábor Szabó, an integral pillar of Alumni, for their help in making the day run smoothly and for their contribution to making the day more colourful for the children and their accompanying adults.
Jászberény – 10-11 March 2023.
Both days began with the candidates completing the reading comprehension and mathematics worksheets. While the children were writing the tests, the parents were first informed by Nikoletta Juhász-Aba and Fruzsina Székelyi, members of the Jászberény Community House’s graduating group, and Bianka Járay, member of the Pécs Community House, about their experiences at the Foundation, followed by an information session on the Guidance Programme held by Dr. Miklós Radoszáv, the operational director. During the morning, the children and parents also took part in a drama session. After lunch, the candidates had a personal interview where they could present their portfolio, their talent areas, their interests and why they would like to be part of the Csányi Foundation community. The children presented medals, certificates and many also gave musical performances.
Thank you to the members of the Jászberény groups, volunteers and peer-mentors for their active participation and for their presence to make the selection process run smoothly. Not only were they a great help in making the selection process run smoothly, but their openness, playfulness and helpfulness enriched the children’s experience, which they were able to take home with them at the end of the day.
It was also a particular pleasure to welcome to the team members of the Csányi Foundation Alumni Organisation, who served as role models and provided insights into the future for the children and parents of the applicants.
