Our first camp abroad
This was the first occassion that we travelled abroad thanks to the Foundation. We started our journey from Budapest by plane on Sunday. We should admit that we were a bit afraid from flying but our feelings passed away by admiring the beautiful view on the clouds from the windows.
After successful landing, we went to have dinner and to find our accommodation. On weekdays we had language lessons in the mornings and then in the afternoon we had programmes concerning the famous sights of Berlin. These, knowing the city’s historical background, gave us wonderful but fraught experiences. We visited the Reistag, Gate Brandenburg, the Dome, the TV tower and the Check-Point Charley. Besides we travelled with Europe’s fastest elevator and we got to know the famous story of the Wall of Berlin.
To sum up, it was a really nice week with very intersting programmes and made our first camp abroad wonderful. We had such a great time and we hope that we will have another opportunity to have such a nice camp again.
