Advent Family Night with Kaposvár Group 1
On Saturday evening, December 14, Kaposvár Group 1 organized an Advent Family Night at the Kaposvár Community Center. The event was well attended by fathers, mothers, grandmothers, siblings, and both elementary school and university-supported students, who shared a warm and joyful evening together.
The shared craft activities were a resounding success, with both children and adults enthusiastically creating. Christmas wreath-making was especially popular, and many chose to assemble Christmas tree ornaments, which they could use to decorate their homes for the holidays. Attendees also enjoyed flipping through the yearbook, which brought to life the most memorable moments of the past school year. The children happily searched for photos of themselves and their shared experiences.
Fenyő Zsuzsa, mentor of Group 1
“It was deeply touching to take part in such a carefully organized evening. The crafting activities truly brought us together, and it was heartwarming to see even the youngest participants decorating with enthusiasm. The Christmas packages, dinner, kindness, and attention we received are gifts that words cannot fully express. This evening demonstrated how important community truly is.”
Bodor Zsuzsanna, a parent from Group 1
“I was so curious about the yearbook, as it brought back those beautiful memories we experienced together. I always eagerly look forward to seeing what articles and photos will feature our group. The evening itself was wonderful; I loved the crafting, but the best part was spending time together.” Fanni Váradi, Group 1
The evening also included a delicious dinner and a surprise video prepared by the group’s mentor. The short film highlighted the best moments of the past year and brought immense joy to everyone. By the end of the event, participants left with smiles on their faces and a warm festive spirit, confident in the knowledge that this community truly stands united.
