Charity Day
We were not idle on Social Work Day either, as some of us volunteered at a charity event. Invited by the Jászság Youth Volunteer Team, we took part in the “Giving-Giving-Fun-Fun Charity Day” on 12 November. After the morning’s development sessions, it was nice to get away from the world of learning and we were happy to go to the Culture House in Jászfényszaru, where Tóth D. Csaba and the members of the association were waiting for us. This year, they are collecting donations for the Szent István Körút Unified Institute for Special Pedagogical Methodology in Jászberény, which will be handed over to them before Christmas.
We also brought in non-perishable food, toiletries and toys, but there were also a lot of donations collected on the day. We helped sort through them and made boys’ and girls’ packs. We invited families and children to play board games, face painting, glitter tattoos and hair braiding. It was a great feeling to play and talk with the little ones, as we received a lot of selfless love from them. Everyone could write their wishes and wishes on the tree of love. It was nice to see that most of the wishes were for love, perseverance, safety, family and health. We took these thoughts home in our hearts. It feels good to have been able to help again.” Tamasi Tilda Jászság group 3, Pege Angelika, Sas Maja, Kovács Hanna, Simon Ramóna and Hábenciusné Balla Andrea mentor, Jászság group 4
