We visited Kaposvár University
This was the second time when we organised study trip to different faculties of the university
Early spring we got insight into the work of three universities in Budapest and now on the last day of May (31st May) we visited the Somogy County Campus, Kaposvár University. The detailed introduction was held by Dr Gombos Péter assistant professor, who scrupulously helps the work of our Foundation. He introduced the geographical and historical curiosity of the capital of Somogy County with interesting quiz tests, and we also learned about the foundation of the university. Later we went around in the main building, we watched the lecture rooms and the hostel as well. Now we know that the capacity of the hostel is really big, 90% of the students enrolling into the university is admitted. We also took a walk in the park around the building and we saw the trees planted by final year students. On the KE Pannon Equestrian Academy we could see the preparations of the two-day long National Dressage Competition. After lunch we went to our next destination, to Bőszénfalva in the beautiful Zselic Valley. Here we watched the folk dance performances and heard the melodious folk songs on the main stage and of course we admired the arts and crafts potteries on the stalls around the area. It was strange to see lying pets and domesticated animal around the stalls but it was part of the programme, called ‘Thousand Faces of Nature’. There were photo exhibitions and an antler collection, too. At the university stand we were welcomed and help was offered for us to sort out our difficulties around further education.
We would like to go on with this programme in autumn as we have plans that we want to fulfil.
