The Paul Street Boys performance
“Last night, as part of András Török’s theatre course, we had the opportunity to see one of the Vígszínház’s highly successful plays, The Paul Street Boys. In addition to the usual team from Budapest, several members of the Csányi Foundation Chamber Orchestra have now travelled up to join us. The rhythmic nature of the musical conveyed the buzz of youth well, conjuring up a good atmosphere on stage. We had a lot of laughs at the play, which was full of comic scenes, but also many thought-provoking and heartfelt scenes. All in all, we were treated to a very high quality production, which managed to revive the story of Ferenc Molnár, a story many of us remember from our schooldays.” Fábián Berta, Szeged Group 3
“It was a special pleasure for us, the Chamber Orchestra members, to see the musical “Pál utcai fiúk” at the Vígszínház as part of the S10 Academy Theatre course, as the play has been an integral part of our work in the past months. It was fantastic to see and hear the well-known songs and scenes live, and we think that the company at the Vígszínház is of a very high quality. I can safely say that we were all enriched by the performance, which we will look back on with nothing but joy. Thank you for the opportunity and the help of our mentors in making it happen!” Antónia Polgár, Pécs Group 1
