THE II. GUIDENCE FESTIVAL HAS ENDED

THE II. GUIDENCE FESTIVAL HAS ENDED

April 18, 2024, THURSDAY

By noon, the last group arrived at the Life Path Festival, marking the start of the first day. As per tradition, Dr. Miklós Radoszáv greeted each group individually, followed by a joint opening event. All the campers then performed the previously learned choreography to the song “Mi vagyunk a Grund” once again. We also inaugurated our newest supported members, adding their handprints to the giant ball created last year. This day, as always, focused on preparations—setting up exhibitions, project materials, and research labs. Meanwhile, chess, foosball, and FIFA championships also began. In the evening, the Csányi Band and Chamber Orchestra rehearsed their usual joint production.

“Handshakes, hugs, and wide smiles filled the day as children from different parts of the country reunited. This is the essence of the Life Path Days and Festivals for me. The projects announced by the Children’s Parliament and the various project exhibitions were being diligently set up, while sports competitions took place with intense rivalry. Throughout and after these events, music from the rehearsals filled the venue, especially the theater hall. I’m sure everyone went to bed filled with positive energy, looking forward to the next day!” – László Gázsik, Nagybajom Group 1

This year, the Wandering Cup, founded by the Children’s Parliament in 2024, was taken home by the Transylvanian guest team after a 6-5 match against the Foundation’s selected team! Congratulations to them!

In the evening, the children were engaged in the Ricsaj! nighttime adventure competition organized by the entire Nagybajom house, despite the evening cold, until bedtime.

Thank you to all the children and adults for their help, and to Zalán Győző and Ádám Balogh for the main organization!

April 20. 2024, SATURDAY

Saturday unfolded differently than usual. After the opening, in the morning, our guests could visit the demonstration workshops led by the children, showcasing their year-long project work. Following the poetry recitation on stage, the drama section’s aspiring actors performed “The Marriage of Mihály Kocsonya” and “Abigél.” The main program of the Life Path Festival, the Talent Stage, took place in the afternoon. Our Founder, Dr. Sándor Csányi, opened the Talent Stage, welcoming guests, children, and colleagues, and alongside his review of the past 19 years, he shared many motivating thoughts with the youth.

Numerous awards and recognitions were handed out on the Talent Stage:

The Csányi Foundation Ambassador Award was won by the Szeged Photo Club for their tireless work over the years, making them permanent winners in national photo competitions.

This year, the Attila Ágoston Award was received by Angéla Vancsuráné Sárközi, mentor from Kaposvár, Gáborné Halász, staff member of the central office, for outstanding execution of the Life Path Program, Bianka Járay (Pécs Group 2, mentor: András Gál), and Anna Benczúr (Szeged Group 2, mentor: Péter Mikics) for exemplary completion of the Life Path Program. The staff of CSAM received the award among the supporters this year.

Among this year’s graduates, Dr. Brúnó Faragó from Szeged Group 1 and Luca Berta from Szeged Group 2 gave heartfelt farewell speeches, thanking, on behalf of all their peers, for the years of support and tireless work that helped them become the people they are today.

We thank all our supporters, Board of Trustees members, mentors, developers, and volunteers for proving every day that the impossible is not a fact, but an opinion!

Special thanks to our Founder, Dr. Sándor Csányi, and Erika Csányi, Chair of the Board of Trustees, for tirelessly working since the foundation’s inception to nurture and ensure the successful life paths of the supported youth.
