Rehearsals in Pécs
“The final rehearsals before the Life Path Festival began at the Pécs Community House on Friday, April 12th, and continued until Sunday. On Saturday, we reviewed newly learned songs from the Interdisciplinary Arts Camp and discussed additional song ideas, including the technical implementation possibilities on our part. Sunday’s rehearsal focused on the joint production of the Chamber Orchestra and the Csányi Band: since many different instruments cooperate together, practice is crucial to ensure a coherent performance and harmony, so we worked together without sparing time and energy.” – Balázs Wensofszky, member of the Csányi Band, Pécs Group 3
“We have started our intensive preparation for this year’s Life Path Festival. The rehearsal was as enjoyable as usual, with music heard in the street from the morning. Our work was once again supported by Eszter Hargitai during the day, ensuring that everything was smooth and of high quality. In this rehearsal, we delved into several styles, from classical music to jazz and even more popular melodies. Zsombor Barkóczy once again did an excellent job transcribing sheet music for us, so he conducted one of our main productions, while Balázs Huber, as a future music teacher, tried to help the younger ones as much as possible, especially with rhythm issues. We are collaborating with the Csányi Band again this year, performing a joint song, which has become a tradition over the years, allowing us to work together very well. I believe our days were productive, as we went through our previous pieces and laid the foundation for our program. Thanks to the Foundation and our mentors for making this opportunity possible for us!” – Antónia Polgár, member of the Chamber Orchestra, Pécs Group 1
