Labyrinth of memories
On 5 July, we met with the 8th grade students of Szeged 3 and their parents to pause and celebrate the end of a life phase. The young people have invested a lot of energy this year in preparing to continue their studies in the high school of their dreams. Fortunately, their efforts, early mornings on Saturdays, maths and Hungarian lessons have been crowned with success, and in September everyone will be able to cross the threshold of their new school with satisfaction. What has been familiar is replaced by new institutions, unfamiliar classmates, different expectations, a more colourful range of subjects and a change in the professionals who teach young people. I assured those present that in this many unknown equations, they can continue to count on us, we will be here to provide background, stability and support. After enjoying the delicacies on the table, we made our way to the basement, where a memory maze awaited us. The virtual walk took us through the events of last September. The young people smiled a lot, summing up how much we have been able to deliver a meaningful, high-quality programme and how much they have changed inside and out over the past 9 months. We ended the day with grateful hearts for the time we had spent together.
