Final project sessions in German and English
As the school year is coming to an end, it is time for the last language development sessions at the Kaposvár Community House. On Tuesday, the German project of Kaposvár Group 1 and 2 was completed, and on Wednesday, the English project of Kaposvár Group 1 was finished.
The English sessions have been very lively and creative all year round, with Gábor Csizmadia, the English developer, preparing lots of interesting activities for the lessons. The guitar was often used in the development lessons and many playful exercises helped the children to learn the basics of English,
Gábor concluded the project with a quiz that tested not only the youngsters’ English skills, but also their logic, dexterity and observation skills. Three teams competed for the first place in the quiz, which provided many challenges for the contestants.
“The English quiz was exciting, although sometimes we had to really think about what the right answer would be. In one of the exercises we had to put together English sentences from different words, it wasn’t easy, we couldn’t even do all of them. But when we had to put the lines of an English song in order, we did better. In the end, my team and I came second, but we were only one point behind, which is not that much. ”

German developer Móni Szigeti Szigeti came up with a special idea for the German project closing session. The youngsters made an original Austrian Emperor’s Morass, for which they were of course given the recipe in German. The young chefs had to crack the eggs, whip the foam and assemble the dough. Once the delicious dessert was ready, the children ate their Emperor’s crumbs, which were topped with icing sugar, jam and applesauce, with good appetite. Not a crumb of the Austrian delicacy remained and the afternoon was spent in a great atmosphere.
