Halloween atmosphere
The Nagybajom community center had a terrifically exciting day. On Saturday morning, all three groups showed up for their weekly sessions. After the lessons, our holiday program began. The first group refined their ECDL excel skills and then prepared for the afternoon project. The second group participated in Hungarian grammar lessons. Our university students, Zalán Győző and Márton Gelencsér, held a mathematics class for third group.
The first group has prepared a surprise for us. The entire community center was coated in a Halloween atmosphere. Our main organizers included Rebeka and Jázmin. We started the session with a festive quiz competition and game, which the young ones were extremely happy about. Milán helped a lot in leading the quiz and in the accompanying article. They also really enjoyed the candy hunt and pumpkin carvings that followed. During the day, the “witch’s kitchen” was in operation, but instead of frog legs and spider’s eyes, coconut and chocolate balls with different decorations were served. The smallest group could also learn about the Celtic origins of the holiday, through logic and team games that matched the theme. The organizers enjoyed the program just as much as the children for whom we held the party.
