Interest Representation Forum in Kaposvár
We talked about competence boundaries at the Kaposvár Community House’s Autumn Representative Forum, joined by delegates from the youngest group in Kaposvár. The life of several groups is changing this academic year: after the joyful summer gatherings following the selection process, there are busy weekdays. The (possible?) difficulties of this change and strategies for dealing with the problems it brings were also discussed. As well as the transition from primary to secondary school, the questions, hesitations and even problems of those about to graduate. Where in this process can the mentor, the Foundation, the parent or the child and young person themselves participate effectively and help each other? What are our roles in resolving the tensions caused by change? Although the topic was a very serious one, the participants tried to lighten the discussion and explore the subject in a constructive and humorous way. The forum, which lasted late into the evening, ended with the decision that we would like to continue the topic of our competence boundaries at our next meeting in the spring.
