Safe driving
“A large crowd of students gathered today at the Jászság Community Centre for a presentation on the Highway Code by Andrea Kalla. She explained that she had done it before getting her driving licence, but that she had added a relevant experience that had happened to her since she started driving to every thought in the presentation. Many of us in the audience have reached the age where we can start a driving course and now we have been encouraged to do so. Driving can basically make one’s life a lot easier in the long run, but it is important to do it by following the rules to ensure one’s own safety and the safety of others. We were also given a taste of the situations we encountered on the road and asked questions, making the presentation more interactive. Thanks for the opportunity, it was good to end the summer in each other’s company.” Viktória Füle Jászság Group 2
“We closed the last day of the summer together with the children at the Jászság Community Centre, as my entry for the “Watch out, be ready, drive” competition was successful and I joined the team of people with driving licences. In a lecture I introduced the students to some basic concepts of the Highway Code and traffic rules. I tried to make the afternoon interactive, so I shared my own experiences with the children and asked questions. I was very surprised that so many people came to listen to the presentation. At the beginning, I talked about how I had to submit my application, what criteria I had to meet, and I was happy to share my experiences with applications and to raise awareness of the importance of browsing the Foundation’s website for first-hand information on the many opportunities to apply. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Foundation for the positive evaluation of my application, Andi Balla and Ildi Nagy for organising the afternoon, and last but not least the children for listening and actively participating in the presentation.” Andrea Kalla Jászság Group 2
