Camp in Eger
This year we spent a week in Eger within the framework of the historical and national knowledge camps of the Groups of Pécs, Kaposvár, and Jászberény. During this time, we had the opportunity to get to know the city with the help of a quiz compiled by small rescuers, visit some of the most well-known sights in the region, admire our country’s natural beauties, and participate in cultural programs. The sight of Eger Castle was unmissable, where we got to know our history a little better, and at the Exhibition of The Blinders, we were able to experience the situation of our blind companions. We were able to see the city skyline from the observatory, and we could also see the exhibition of the “mushroom heads”, the band The Beatles. Leaving the city, we could see beautiful waterfalls and lakes in Szilvasvárad, Sásó, and Lillafüred, where boating, cave watching, and chair lifting complemented our plans for the day. In Noszvajon we were told about the cave dwellings, among other things, about their design and curiosities. In Recsk, we visited the memorial site of the famous labour camp. Of course, in addition to expanding knowledge, we also had enough time and opportunity to relax. Together we watched the musical Beautiful Summer Day, which processed the events of a summer construction camp with neoton família songs. Last day, after an underground time travel, we fought a friendly laser fight with each other. At the closing of the week, we revived memories from our first camp together and collected new ones, which we will remember with joy again in a few years’ time.
