I am Gyöngyi Novák, and since September 2021, I have been the mentor of the Szeged 3 group of the Csányi Foundation. I have taught primary school students, both eager and less eager, English and Hungarian. Then, I dedicated 14 years of my life to child protection. I worked for a foundation that bore the motto “A loving home for every child.” I lived with teenagers day in and day out, assessing their injuries, supporting, watching, respecting, and loving them. I put all my effort into healing what was broken in our connections. Shaping personalities is a wonderfully beautiful challenge. I often relied on my trainer attitude in my work with them. For a year and a half, I tasted the activities of marketing and brand management at a pharmaceutical company.

Meanwhile, I participated in a bunch of trainings: Mental Health, Story Therapy, Mediator, which enriched my thinking in the field of development. Now, I want to channel the acquired knowledge into mentoring the young people and young adults entrusted to me. According to Goethe: “There are two things children should get from their parents: roots and wings” – I believe that working in the Foundation means adding many colorful feathers to those wings.
