ECDL camp in Kaposvár
„We started our preparation for the next ECDL module today with our new teacher, Gábor Kanalics. This time we get to know how to use Access, so we are elaborating on database management. The preparation started with a bit of difficulty as no one in the group had used this computer program yet, but I can confidently say that we got better at it by the end of the day. Finally, we relaxed in the main square with some ice cream while having a nice chat. We are excited about tomorrow and the challenges ahead!” Ivett Begovácz, Group 1 of Kaposvár
“After learning the basic concepts, we continued learning and practicing the steps of database management on Thursday and Friday. We have learned that an index is designed to improve the speed of data retrieval operations on a database table. We have mastered the concepts of primary and foreign keys, and relational models are also familiar to us. It was quite challenging to acquire all the knowledge regarding this module, but most of us did a good job. During the breaks, the cheerful table soccer games and the pleasant conversations always provided us with the necessary energy to continue.
After a relaxing weekend, it was finally time for us to test our knowledge in database management. Before the exam, we practiced a little to refresh what we had learned last week so we could easily complete the tasks. If we were stuck with a task, we could turn to our tutor, Gábor Kanalics, for help. After everyone had finished the exam, we went to Texas Burger with our mentor, where we closed our ECDL camp with a well-deserved, delicious hamburger.” Zsófia Trixler, Group 1 of Kaposvár
