Experiences about Freshmen’s camp by the junior mentors
We would like to thank you the chance and the advance trust we got from the Foundation as little mentors.
I am sure to say that our little mentor team and the youngest members of the Foundation spent five unforgettable days in Sarlóspuszta. Personally, I liked the role of being a little mentor, especially the afternoon sport activities, morning refreshing PE minutes, competitive games, which I participated in actively. It was fantastic to wandering about our first camp as we saw the new members whether we were as clever, creative and adroit as they were in these five days. I hope we did a great job to show and introduce them to the Csányi lifestyle, what it means and it is like. In addition, we could also learn from the kids and experience what it is like to organise a camp. I really hope that we could help the mentors despite the fact that we were little mentors for the first time. I also hope that during my remaining years at the Foundation I will be able to work as a little mentor and help more and more young students to be part of the Csányi Foundation. All the kids are now part of my experiences and I hope I can see my newest little friends soon.

We just arrived back to Kaposvár, we already miss the new three groups. The busy atmosphere, the always active students, the games, competitions, mutual programmes and the good times that we spent together.
On the first day of the camp the little mentors, Szabó Gábor from Pécs and I were excited to meet the youngest members of the Foundation and the third little mentor, Sebők Marci from Szeged.
After arrival, everyone occupied their rooms and later on after the lunch we were introduced to each other. During the camp, I think I have learnt to be patient and deal with the children in a patient and well-balanced manner. We had better and better programmes like the adventure park, wall climbing, horse show, horse cart ride to a nearby farm where we had delicious homemade pastry and we could see the farm animals around the house. The children had study methodology lessons every day, drama lessons and when the weather was good we could swim in the swimming pool. The best moments for me were when I could teach dancing to the kids and at the end of the camp they presented their short performances at a show night. The beginning was a bit rough because the boys were reluctant to dance but after the first rehearsal they came to me asking for the next appointment of dancing class. The kids and the little mentors rather did some sports or were practicing dancing than relaxing in their rooms. My impression about the kids is very good and positive. They are all excellent and students with excellent abilities without exception. I think during these five days they were formed into a very good team. I can tell you that I fell in love with them. As I came out from my room in the mornings endless hugs and smiles were waiting for me from the kids. Moreover, all these smiles and hugs were real ones without and negative feelings or bad intentions. It was a fantastic feeling.
Everyone participated in the games and had fun. When they had to pay attention they did so except the time when we were getting closer to the end of the camp but it is not a problem in my opinion. This camp was a well-organised team building camp. I was happy to participate in this programme, help and cooperate with the mentors and the children. I will think back to this camp as I never thought I would. I already miss the kids and I am never going to forget these five days that we spent together. I would like to participate as a little mentor in the future as well. I would like to say a big thank you to my mentor, Sasa, the camp leader Ms Piroska and to everyone who helped me to be part of this unforgettable happening.

I enjoyed the camp very much. The kids are really friendly and I could find the way to them and be their friend. The programmes were various and nobody had time to get bored. During the talent show we could see that the Csányi Foundation has many new talented students this year as well. As for me, I wanted to stay a bit longer and it was a fantastic feeling to be a little mentor.
