First Interaction With The Kids
After spending the past two days settling down in Pécs, I’ve met the kids for the first time today.
I had an hour of English lesson with a group of high school students. Initially I was afraid that the situation would be really awkward since the kids would be too shy to speak to me. However, they were really nice to me.
As the lesson was conducted in small groups, one teacher to about 5 students, it helped to facilitate discussions. From that, I got to learn from the students and the teacher too. I got to find out more about the country, the people and even the foundation. It was nice to see that the foundation supports the children in much more ways that I originally thought, such as giving the children a window of opportunity to go overseas to immerse in different cultures (just like what I’m doing now).
I’m looking forward to see how the future lessons would go.
