We visited museum Slavonia in the city center, where we learned about the city’s history through old pictures and artifacts. After a delicious lunch we went to the church of Saint Peter and Paul. Thanks to the really hot weather we spent our afternoon on he bank of river Drava. In the evening we watched a movie about war in Yugoslavia, which was mesmerizing.

3rd day– Get on the third day
Fortunately, we had a fantastic day today! First of all, we had the chance to visit the graves of the victims of the Serbian-Croatian War. Representing our compassion we lit candles in memoriam the defenders. After that we travelled to Kopács in order to have a trip in the famous reservation there. We could see many animals in their natural habitat like eagles, turtles, fish and beautiful birds. After the programs we could swim in river Drava as a present. It was cool and refreshing to everybody. We really hope that we are going to spend a greater day tomorrow because the programs seem to be more exciting. Moreover we are going to be informed about our points what are needed to the university.

4th day– We went to Novi Sad…
In the fourth day we left Croatia and we went to Novi Sad in Serbia. This city is famous for its education system. After we arrived we visited the building of the hungarian language theatre and the beautiful St. Mary church. We were walking in the town, after we had lunch we got a fresh ice cream, that gave us a lot of energy for climbing a mountain in the warm weather. An amazing landscape welcomed us, because we could see the river Danube and the whole city. Everybody enjoyed the fresh lemonade, while we were watching the view. We were really excited in the evening, because it was an important day for all of us. During the evening we got known about which university we will continue our studies.

5th day– A day in Tóthfalu
Unlike the other days Friday started a little bit early for us, as we packed up in Osijek and left for Serbia. Our first stop was Tóthfalu, an entirely Hungarian village of 650 people. Our guide, Zoltán Faragó, showed us the village, including the school, the church and a traditional Hungarian house. Then the locals made us some treats. After lunch we took a tour powered by two horses. We were delighted to see how tidy and flourishing the village was. At the end of the day five-year-old Regő amazed us with his storytelling abilities. Tóthfalu showed us the everyday life of Hungarians outside Hungary.
Délvidék – Last day
Today was the last day of our trip, we went sightseeing in Belgrade. Unfortunately we didn’t see everything, because the Serbian capital is a huge city and we only had one day to see the many sights and other interesting things. First we went to the famous castle of Belgrade. The weather was very nice on our last day, it wasn’t as hot as the rest of the week, so we didn’t have to climb the steep castle walls in the unbearable weather. Our tour guide informed us, that the white stone they used when building the castle (and named it after) was from Buda and Pest, and they delivered it by ship on the River Danube. The view was beautiful from the highest place on the castle. We heard short and interesting stories from our history, and our glorious victory in Belgrade. We even had some free time on the Main Street before lunch, after we went to the Légvédelmi és repülő Museum. In the evening we learned some folk dance and had a great time. Tomorrow it will be hard to go home, but we’ll always have amazing memories of this trip.
