Two Days in Pécs
Group 3 of Szeged had a trip to Pécs
During the summer holiday, we travelled to Pécs to get a little mountain feeling. We started our journey from Szeged by bus and upon arrival; we went to the Pécs Monastery where we had our accommodation for the weekend. After we had put down our bags, we went out for lunch and then we looked around in the Csontváry Museum where we could see Hungary’s famous painters master pieces. Following this programme we toured up to Tettye, from where we could enjoy the view of the town. In the evening we had a meeting with the members of group 3 of Pécs and we had free time to make our own little programmes. When the sunset and the members of P3 left, we walked up to the Statue of Liberty in Pécs. Here we had a magnificent night view over the town. It was totally different what we have here in the lowland.
Next day we went to the Mecsextrém, which was the main part of our trip. Here, we could try and ride all the games like the Alpine rope maze, the bob, minicar, 3D spin, rode bull and many many more. After lunch in the park we rushed back to explore more of the games. Unfortunately, every good has to come to an end, and this happened here as well, as we had to catch the last bus back to Szeged. It was not necessary to run back as the bus left Pécs with ore than 2 hours delay due to technical problems. But we were not complaining as the whole bus was ours on the way back giving enough space for everybody to sleep during the night journey.
