Kathy in Jászberény
As I saw it.
When I receive the invitation from the Csányi Foundation to help in the English oral exam, I don’t really know what to expect. The moment we walked into the community house in Jászberény, I felt the warmth and friendliness from everyone in Foundation. From Judit, I learnt that many children here come from very diverse backgrounds: Some of them come from family with aggression tendency and some have experienced the loss of family member at a very young age. You really can’t tell from their looks that these innocent and young kids have gone through that much in their lives. But one thing you can tell is that despite all the hardship, the children find comfort from the Foundation. Csányi Foundation doesn’t just help the children to study and prepare for exams. They also help the children to prepare for life and to show them there is another way. Their backgrounds and families don’t determine who they are. From the Foundation, I experience a new meaning of education. It is being a pleasure to be with Csányi Foundation.
