10th Jászfényszarui Artists Colony Exhibition

On April 8, 2025, the latest exhibition of the 10th Jászfényszarui Artists Colony opened at the Déryné6 Gallery. The guests arriving at the opening were greeted by Dr. Miklós Radoszáv, the operational director of the Csányi Foundation.

The members of the Jászfényszarui Artists Colony gathered for the tenth time in the summer of 2024, inspiring each other in art. At the exhibition, the participants were able to get acquainted with the work of a total of 22 artists. Many of the creators had been present in the work of the Artists Colony since the beginning, but new artists also arrived, thus enriching the palette. The creative circle of the colony is very diverse. From participants in university art education to art teachers who are actively engaged in creative activities, the middle generation and the older generation were also represented.

The exhibition was opened by artist Anna Mária Milotai, who told us that the works made in Jászfényszaru are very rich both thematically and technically: in addition to the views of the settlement and its surroundings, free artistic ideas and fresh inspirations can be seen in the works made here, in the paintings, graphics, nature and textile art works.

An exhibition has opened at the Déryné 6 Gallery, which is currently the second exhibition taking place in Jászberény. The KépTér Collective’s exhibition is hosted by the Főnix Fészek Workshop, with its opening held last week, where young artists were given the opportunity to present their work and could be met in person. On April 17, 2025, painter Gábor Koncz will open his solo exhibition titled Epic Fail at the Lehel Cinema. He is the professional leader of the Jászfényszaru Art Residency and one of the founders of the KépTér Collective. With these three exhibitions, an imaginary cultural quarter is forming in downtown Jászberény, to which the Csányi Foundation’s Déryné 6 Gallery is gladly contributing.
