Dinner Evening at S10

Dinner Evening at S10

The first dinner evening of this academic year at S10 took place on November 18 and was held in a unique atmosphere. The evening was memorable not only because of the distinguished guests present but also due to the spontaneity of the program. The dinner was opened by an impromptu student meeting where the students introduced themselves to the guests. They shared what majors they are studying, what research and community projects they are involved in, and what motivates them in their studies.

During the evening, we had the pleasure of welcoming prominent guests such as curators Ádám Csányi and Gábor Marosi, Viktória Marosi-Marczell, the lead mentor of MCC, Professor András Török, and Professor Lajos Aáry-Tamás, all of whom have enriched our students’ knowledge through several courses at the S10 Academy. Additionally, we were joined by Zsuzsa Vida and Miklós, who both brought unique perspectives and experiences to the discussions.

The central element of the dinner was informal conversation, where everyone was encouraged to ask questions. Topics ranged from professional to personal matters: the guests shared their career milestones, daily motivations, and reflections on the future of higher education and current social issues. The great strength of the evening was that every participant found interesting and insightful threads of conversation, regardless of their field of study or work.

For the participants, this evening offered not only inspiring thoughts but also real opportunities for connection—both within the university community and beyond. Such gatherings highlight how sharing knowledge and experiences can enrich younger generations. With this dinner evening, the S10 Academy once again proved that it is not only a place for learning but also for dialogue and collective thinking. The participants are already eagerly looking forward to the next similar event.
