First Aid Training at the Pécs Community Center

First Aid Training at the Pécs Community Center

Today (October 19), I held my first first aid training session for 6th graders, where we discussed the process of calling an ambulance, the steps of CPR, the correct execution of the recovery position, the shock position, and recognizing allergic reactions. The children actively participated in the session, asked many questions, and after the theoretical lesson, they practiced the techniques and procedures on each other and on the mannequin. Everyone performed the tasks learned today very well and passed on their newly acquired knowledge to the mentors and junior mentors.

With the 8th graders, we had already covered the basics during the health camp, so today we focused on treating various injuries and fractures, managing burns, and recognizing strokes. Throughout the semester, we will continue this project, and I aim to teach life-saving steps to as many age groups as possible, empowering them to confidently apply these techniques in everyday emergencies.
