Building the City of Tomorrow
“Saturday was a special day for my group as we started the Maker’s Red Box – City of the Future project workshop. In the first session, we discussed the advantages and disadvantages of cities and villages with our mentor. I learned about the cities my peers had visited and where they would like to live. The central theme of our discussion was sustainability and the challenges big cities face. We drew inspiration from the visions of our predecessors, watching a presentation showing how artists imagined cities of the 2000s. Later, in the computer lab, we explored the functions of artificial intelligence with Mr. Zsolt, which I really enjoyed. After a break, with Ms. Annamária and Ms. Erika, everyone got to choose their own topic to work on in the future. I chose the ‘Entertainment’ responsibility area, which is something close to my heart, and I already have a lot of ideas for its implementation. We had a great time, learned new things, and are already looking forward to the next session in November.”
