Autumn family day in Jászberény

Autumn family day in Jászberény

Today we held a family day at the community center, which was attended by both parents and children. The parents started preparing lunch, which turned out to be goulash soup. During the morning, Gyula Pege, the young UNICEF ambassador, and her partner gave parents and children an interactive presentation on the topic of children’s rights. In addition, families had different programs available, such as felting, crafts, foosball, ping pong, a horn search contest and much more. My group mates and I took part in the horn-finding competition, we toured the center of Jászberény and managed to discover the symbol of the jasper in 13 places. Then followed a lunch, where we could taste the goulash soup and cakes prepared by the parents. After lunch, the results of the competitions were announced, where we got to know the prize winners of the cookie competition in addition to the contestants. At the end of the day, the Lego robotics team gave an experience report on their competition abroad. We had an eventful day thanks to the parents and mentors. Thank you! The first weekend of October was a family day at the community center in Jászberény. Events ran on several threads. We talked in the community center and participated in a craft session. My colleague Gyuszi Csányis gave a presentation on children’s rights on behalf of UNICEF. In addition, with the help of Maja Sas’s individual project, we organized a competition called Kürtkereső. Then after lunch – prepared by our parents – we did a program in which we announced the results of the Horn Finder competition and the results of the cookie competition made from seasonal plants. Last but not least, at the end of the day, we at Jász-Stones presented the results we achieved in Sydney and last season. We have a very pleasant day behind us, we thank our mentors for the many arrangements and the Foundation for the opportunity. (Máté Márk Kaptás, Jászság group 1)
