New Academic Year
As summer bids farewell and the colors of autumn emerge in the landscape, the Foundation embarks on the new school year with renewed energy.
The youth, filled with excitement and the lessons learned from summer adventures, are ready to tackle the challenges of the school year. Some are entering higher education for the first time, others are beginning high school, and some are starting their fifth year of school.
During the summer camps, we had the opportunity to recharge, with every participant gaining the chance to improve their language skills and enrich their knowledge on topics such as finance, nature, history, and logical thinking. Our goal was to offer children both domestic and international experiential, hands-on programs to explore different cultures and master their target languages under the guidance of renowned experts and artists.
This summer, two of our supported participants received international recognition: the Jász-Stones team in Sydney, and the duo of Nadin Varga and Zsombor Barkóczy in New York.

Once again, this year, our international language camps were not to be missed: the top language competitors honed their skills in England, Germany, and Croatia, while our partners in Transylvania provided unforgettable experiences for the best students from Covasna and Harghita counties in Csíksomlyó.
The international programs were not solely focused on language learning; several groups also explored our cross-border history in Transylvania, Felvidék, Délvidék, and Őrvidék. Our domestic trips included destinations such as Veszprém, Tokaj, Kőszeg, Balatonszemes, and Kölked, while our local camps in Kaposvár, Pécs, Jászberény, and Mohács enriched the knowledge and skills of the children.
Sarlóspuszta once again played a central role in the summer programs, hosting the freshmen camp for the youngest, as well as the finance and drama camp, and the much-anticipated Arts and Crafts Camp, which was the largest again this year, with 166 participants. The growing number of attendees led to the creation of a new camp, adding a nature photography section to the traditional creative writing camp in Szentes, offering exciting photography opportunities around Baks and its surroundings.
After an exciting summer, we look forward to an eventful autumn: the S10 Academy will kick off this year under the leadership of Hanna Szép and Fruzsina Székelyi, offering a refreshed course selection to provide young university students with the knowledge they need to step confidently into their careers. Alongside the Academy, the S10 Dinner Evenings will also continue, with exciting speakers and topics.
Of course, scientific work is not confined to higher education – with the support of Dr. Katalin Karikó, our scientific projects will continue, and we hope that through research and innovation, students will achieve successes in various academic competitions this year.
We wish everyone a successful and fruitful school year and eagerly await the new and returning encounters!
