Nature protection camp in Kölked

Nature protection camp in Kölked

This year, for the second time, our nature conservation camp with the Fauna and Flora Foundation, generously supported by Dr. Katalin Karikó, will be organised in Erdőfű, a village near Kölked, from 29 July to 3 August. Based on an open call for applications, not only our Foundation’s pupils but also talented and interested students from the 5th-8th grades of the Mohács district will participate in the camp. On the first day (Monday), we played the usual familiarization games – although they didn’t bring much new for the children from the Foundation, they proved to be really useful for the non-foundation students who attended the camp and our volunteer Attila – and then the focus was on writing the rules of living together, deepening the bond with nature and each other. We got to know not only each other, but also the site – its past, present and future plans – thanks to our hosts. We also explained the expectations for the week: in addition to nature education, group creative work is an important part of the camp, and the final product will be presented at the closing event.
