Fáy Succes Camp in Balatonszemes

Fáy Succes Camp in Balatonszemes

On the last day of June (June 30th), the Fáy Success Camp began in Balatonszemes. Half of the campers set off from Pécs at 10 AM, and at 11:30 AM, the members of Group 3 from Nagybajom joined this small team. After arriving, we unpacked and went for a walk, which included lunch. The official program started at 4 PM. Zoltán Illés, a lifeguard, gave a presentation to the children about safe swimming, and then we experienced the delights of Lake Balaton firsthand. After dinner, we held our first evening program, which focused mainly on getting to know each other. The main activities for the following days of the camp will be active participation in the morning training sessions, conducted in two groups, and positive performance in the evening mini-programs, which will take place with three teams led by junior mentors. We are greatly assisted in the training sessions by two trainers from Nyíregyháza, Netti and Liza. The main topics covered in the sessions will include the evolution of money, the economic cycle, financial awareness, and basic knowledge of the European Union. The more carefree events will involve the aforementioned team tasks. This week, the competition will be between the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Lightning McQueen, and the Smurfs, as the main element of the game involves collecting coins in green, red, and blue piggy banks. Coins can be earned through participation in morning exercises, secret missions, and relay races. Of course, the children can also relax; in the afternoons, we will spend time either swimming, playing board games, or football. Wednesday will be a bit more special, as the foundation members will be welcomed with a detective task. Thursday will feature the closing night, where the groups can showcase their work from the entire week in playful presentations. This will be a memorable conclusion to the camp, one we will remember for a long time after returning home on Friday. Viktor and Andris, employees of the OTP Fáy Foundation, are helping our mentors, Andi and Roli, in the execution and organization of the camp.
