Parents’ Forum in Nagybajom
“On the afternoon of Friday, May 24th, the Parental Advocacy Forum took place at the Nagybajom Community House. Each group’s parent community was represented by one parent at the Forum. The main agenda items were preparation for the final exams, obtaining language certificates, and the success of the career orientation project. Kuckó Nadin, representing the children, confirmed the usefulness of the workshops, lectures, and training sessions mentioned above in helping with these challenges. The parents concerned unanimously agreed. They expressed their gratitude to the Foundation for the support in preparation, navigating the admission process, and providing mental support. The parents offered advice to future eighth-grade parents, emphasizing the importance of their children’s participation in appropriate high school preparatory courses and the selection of suitable secondary institutions. The mentors requested the participants to communicate the discussions within their parent communities and to suggest topics for the next parent meeting and Parents’ Academy event that could provide them with useful information. The meeting also discussed promoting the Foundation within the immediate environment. Ideas and possibilities will be collected and discussed at the next meeting.”
